Can I sue a property owner?

Yes, you can. However, to do so, you need to be able to prove that the property owner was negligent. Meaning that you need to be able to show some wrongdoing by the property owner. That they were malicious in some way. 

You will need to file a policy report and be able to provide that, as well as any medical attention records from the incident.
