Yes, if you have full coverage on your auto including comprehensive coverage your auto will be covered for theft.
Now, if the items inside your auto get stolen, such as your personal property, that will go against your home or renters policy. It is always a good idea never to keep items in your auto that look appealing for someone to break in and steal.
When you have a theft, be it the entire auto or just the personal property, be sure you complete a police report. They will want a list of the items stolen and the approx value of the items as well.
For safety reasons, do not leave anything valuable in the auto such as your wallet full of your debit/credit cards or other items that identify you. This could lead to other large issues down the line.
